A local man was sentenced to jail for 30 months after he pleaded guilty in the Bandar Magistrate's Court yesterday to multiple charges of drug abuse.

Rusdi @ Muhammad bin Awang Mustapa possessed a utensil and 0.7023 grammes of meth at a house in Jalan Kecil Mambarung, Kampong Lumapas at 6.35am on April 12, 2014.

He then breached the supervision programme by not reporting to an officer on December 16, 2013, January 6, February 10, March 3 and March 31 in 2014.

Magistrate Pengiran Shahyzul bin Pengiran Abdul Rahman saw that the defendant held previous records of violating the Misuse of Drugs Act leading to his immediate arrival to the decision of an imprisonment sentence.
Narcotics Control Bureau Prosecutor Ainorazimah binti Haji Zabidi represented the Public Prosecutor yesterday.
