The Brunei Islamic Religious Council, MUIB, Ministry of Religious Affairs received more than $4,064,800 tithe money from the Perbadanan Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei, TAIB. The tithe money was from the customers' account who give permission to Perbadanan TAIB to deduct part of their savings accounts from January to December 2021, according to Syariah guidelines. The Mock Cheque Presentation Ceremony was held yesterday morning at the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

The cheque was handed over by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohammad Yussof, Second Minister of Defence in his capacity as Chairman of Perbadanan TAIB's Board of Directors to Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs as Yang Di- Pertua of MUIB and also Advisor of Perbadanan TAIB's Board of Directors.
