The 34th Commonwealth Health Ministers' Meeting convened recently online themed, 'The Road to COVID-19 Recovery: Lessons Learned for Building Health System Resilience to advance UHC and Global Health Security in the Commonwealth'. The meeting included presentations from representatives of member states of each region focusing on COVID-19 response and strategy to ensure effective recovery.

Joining the meeting was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health. The meeting also emphasized the importance of three Sub-Themes, namely Effective Pandemic Management; Strengthening Digital Health and; Maintaining Health Benefits. This leads to an important health policy coordination that needs to be discussed in preparation for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting next month.
