Early Endemic Phase Will Be Ceased

With the consent of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the COVID-19 Steering Committee has announced that the Early Endemic Phase under the National COVID-19 Recovery Framework – which is set to end on Tuesday, 31st of May 2022 – will be ceased. The Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy explained these at the media conference.

 

In this regard, beginning Wednesday, 1st of June 2022, the guidelines for COVID-19 control measures will be updated. There is no limitation on the capacity of mass gatherings regardless of location, either at home or halls. All sporting activities including competitions or matches are allowed with no limitation on the number of spectators. Food preparation for any event at any premises is allowed without any restrictions including buffet meals.
