A man was shocked when he opened the case of an old PlayStation Two game as he found a huge stash of cash inside.

Taking to TikTok, the man said that he decided to try playing one of his old games, Need for Speed Underground Two, so plugged in his console.

He found the game case and opened it, and inside he found a huge wrap of £20 notes - and soon realised there was over £1,000 stashed away in there.

The man, who goes by DJ Limited on social media, said he must have put the money there when he was younger and forgotten about it.

Taking to TikTok, where he uploads a @djlimited, the man said: "I went to go and get my PlayStation. I had to use my gran's TV because it's the only one that has the ports.

"I started looking in all the games, making sure everything was where it was, and I opened up this one and look.

"Honestly I can't believe it I found £1,000. Young me must have hid this away."

In the video, the man opens the case and shows the wad of cash, with one £20 note wrapped around a large stack of notes.

His clip soon went viral and was viewed almost 160,000 times, and the man was inundated with comments.

One user said: "Who the hell forgets about a grand?"

And another wrote: "A grand don't come for free."

Then a third added: "Shame it's old paper £20s which are no longer legal tender."

The paper £20 notes are being replaced by the new plastic version, but old notes can still be spent in the UK.
