Media Conference On Latest COVID-19 Situation

28 doses of vaccine were given to children aged 5 to 11 on 27th May 2022 which brings the total number of first dose vaccinations administered to 79.9 percent. Meanwhile, 72 second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were administered to children in the same age group bringing the total second dose administered to 44.7 percent. This was informed by the Second Minister of Defence at the Media Conference on the latest COVID-19 Situation at Dewan Al-Afiah, Ministry of Health yesterday afternoon. Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof also shared that the coverage rate for the country's citizens and residents who have received three doses of the vaccine is 7.2 percent.

 

205 new cases have been reported, of which 204 cases were results from ARTs conducted and 1 case was from 273 RT-PCR laboratory tests. Therefore, the total number of cases reported in Brunei Darussalam to date is 147,872. One case is in Category 4. 270 cases have recovered, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 146,186. The total number of active cases are 1,463 that is 3 cases are currently treated in hospitals, while 1,460 are on home self-isolation.
