Media Conference On Latest COVID-19 Situation

208 doses of vaccine were given to children aged 5 to 11 on 28th May 2022 which brings the total number of first dose vaccinations administered to 80.4 percent. Meanwhile, 1,155 2nd doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were administered to children in the same age group bringing the total second dose administered to 47.4 percent. This was informed by the Second Minister of Defence at the Media Conference on the latest COVID-19 Situation at Dewan Al-Afiah, Ministry of Health yesterday afternoon.

 

Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof also shared that the coverage rate for the country's citizens and residents who have received three doses of the vaccine is 70.4 percent.

 

217 new cases have been reported, of which 216 cases were results from ARTs conducted and ONE case was from 32 RT-PCR laboratory tests. Therefore, the total number of cases reported in Brunei Darussalam to date is 148,089. One case is in Category 4.

 

220 cases have recovered, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 146,406. The total number of active cases are 1,460, where FOUR cases are currently treated in hospitals, while 1,456 are on home self-isolation.
