Doa Kesyukuran Ceremony

His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office yesterday late afternoon attended a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony in conjunction with the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, RBAF, 61st Anniversary Celebration. Accompanying His Royal Highness the Crown Prince was His Royal Highness 920 Major Udara Prince 'Abdul Mateen ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah. The ceremony took place at Surau Ad-Dhifa, Bolkiah Garrison.
Upon arrival, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince was greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Md Yussof, Second Minister of Defence; and Major General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of the RBAF.
The ceremony began with the reading of Al-Qur'an, from Surah Al-Imran verses 123 to 126, by Private Mohd Zainul Arifin bin Haji Haminuddin.
The mass Maghrib prayer was led by Major Ariffin bin Amit ALIAS Hamit from the RBAF Religious Directorate, JAMA'AT, who also led the sunat hajat prayer, the reading of Surah Yaasin, Tahlil and Doa Kesyukuran.
The Selawat Tafrijiyyah was recited before the call for Isya' prayer. Major Ariffin bin Amit ALIAS Hamit led the mass Fardu Isyak prayer. The ceremony was followed by a banquet at Officers' Mess, Bolkiah Garrison. Also present were cabinet ministers. Doa selamat was read by Commander Haji Ainolnizam bin Haji Ibrahim, Acting Director of JAMA'AT.
Similar events were also held simultaneously at all mosques and RBAF surau including the mosque in Pulau Baru-Baru. The theme for this year's celebration is 'Bersama Menjayakan Wawasan Negara'.
