Media Conference On Latest COVID-19 Situation

241 first doses of COVID-19 vaccine were given to children aged 5 to 11 on 4th of June, bringing total 1st dose vaccinations administered to 82.3 per cent and 56.3 per cent for the 2nd dose vaccinations. This was stated by the Minister of Health at a media conference on the latest COVID-19 situation yesterday afternoon at Dewan Al-Afiah, Ministry of Health. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar stated that 71.1 per cent of the country's population have received 3 doses of the vaccine.

 

Meanwhile, 344 new cases have been reported. Therefore, the total number of cases reported in Brunei Darussalam to date is 150,402 cases. There is no case categorised in Category 5 and there are currently 3 cases in Category 4 which are those who require oxygen assistance and under close monitoring.

 

A total of 242 cases have recovered, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 148,069 cases. The total number of active cases are 2,110 cases, in which 11 cases are currently treated in hospitals, whereas 2,099 cases are currently undergoing home self-isolation.
