BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN

Almost two dozen students from ITE College West, Singapore were hosted at Telekom Brunei Berhad's (TelBru) Sumbiling Telephone House in the capital yesterday as part of their educational stay in the Sultanate with the Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) according to a press release issued by TelBru.

Alongside nine of their IBTE partners the 22-member Singapore delegation, including two members of staff, were taken on a tour of TelBru's various facilities with briefings conducted by TelBru staff that focussed on the technology behind TelBru's services.

From ITE College West School of Electronics and Info-communication Technology the students are currently in the country under Singapore ITE's Global Education Programme in partnership with IBTE and is the first such trip to Brunei ever conducted under the curriculum.

In expressing their appreciation to TelBru, the students accompanying lecturer shared that their visit to institutions such as TelBru aims to broaden students' horizons beyond the classroom and exposing them to international best practices across different industries with the hope that such visits are able to cultivate 'Global Ready' youth.
