The sentencing of the young woman in the abortion case has been postponed to October 1 while the Intermediate Court considers an appropriate punishment.

Nuramallinie Amal binti Suhailie, 22, terminated her pregnancy by consuming several pills to induce miscarriage, in the late evening of August 31, in Perumahan Kampong Sungai Bunga.

The case was brought before Judge Pengiran Hajah Hanani binti Pengiran Haji Metussain, with DPP Rozaimah Abdul Rahman representing the Public Prosecutor.
