AYUTTHAYA

The overflow of water from the Chao Phraya and Noy rivers have inundated 204 villages in four riverside districts of this central province.

As of Sunday morning, hardest hit was Bang Ban district, affecting about 11,000 people of 2,797 households in 86 villages.

Wat Boonkannawas in tambon Sai Noy was nearly one metre under water.  Buddha images and pagodas in the opening ground of the temple were half under water.

In tambon Taku, the entire area of Wat Takutang by Khlong Bang Luang canal was flooded, so were all roads leading to the temple.  Monks and villages had to travel by boat.
