Get-Together Ceremony With Citizens And Residents

Strong cooperation and solidarity among communities in Temburong District are among the factors that contributed to the success of every activity. Despite coming from different ethnicity, race and religion, this does not deter the people from being united. Such solidarity was evident when His Majesty The Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam graced the Get-Together Ceremony with citizens and residents of Temburong District yesterday morning.
Accompanying His Majesty were His Majesty's sons and Brother:
- His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office;
- His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik;
- His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen;
- and His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah.
All walks of life including senior citizens expressed their gratitude and wished happy birthday towards His Majesty. Under His Majesty's leadership, Temburong District continues to develop with various facilities being enjoyed.
Among the highlights of this year's event was the exhibition of the over 221 meter Longest 'Jalinan Kelupis'. Several infrastructure development projects that are actively implemented are expected to become landmarks in Temburong District.
Women's organizations also play an important role in ensuring the country's development. Islamic-based leadership as well as progress in the lives of the people reflected His Majesty's integrity in strengthening the nation's civilization. The strong cooperation and support of various agencies are proof of loyalty and sovereignty towards the monarch, who remains intact in every heart of society.
As a district rich in flora and fauna, 'Bumi Permata Hijau' or Green Jewel is able to generate economic growth for the villagers. In the economic field, the income from the 'One Village One Products' can improve the socio-economy of the community.
His Majesty and members of the Royal family then proceeded to the Bangar Town Civic Centre for a Luncheon. Doa Selamat was read by Awang Haji Sahrin bin Haji Kadih, Syari'e Judge of the Syariah Subordinate Court. His Majesty's presence to the ceremony was the sweetest moment and much awaited by the people and residents of Temburong District.
