The Get-Together Ceremony with Citizens and Residents in Belait District further strengthened the relationship between His Majesty and the people in the country. The ceremony was a golden opportunity for the people to meet the beloved Monarch. Accompanying His Majesty were His Majesty's sons and brothers:
- His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office;
- His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik;
- His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen;
- and His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah;
The people's joy was clearly seen when they had the opportunity to wish His Majesty happy birthday. Senior citizens also did not miss the chance to meet the beloved Monarch. The participation of all walks of life symbolised the people's love towards His Majesty.
His Majesty's presence at the ceremony reflected the closeness between the Monarch and the people. The field of education is given priority to produce a knowledgeable, skilled and disciplined generation.
Non-governmental organisations, NGO's play a vital role in together acting as a catalyst for the people's economic development. The oil and gas has greatly contributed towards further improving the citizens and resident's quality of life.
Personnel of the Third Battalion of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces in Lumut also did not miss the opportunity to greet His Majesty.
His Majesty and members of the Royal Family then proceeded to the Banquet Hall for a Luncheon. Doa Selamat was read by Awang Mohd Shah bin Haji Taib, Belait District Syariah Subordinate Court Judge.
His Majesty's presence to the ceremony has a deep meaning for all citizens and residents in Belait District and will be an unforgettable memory.
