Yesterday was a historic moment for citizens and residents in Belait District when His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam graced the Get-Together Ceremony with citizens and residents of the said district in conjunction with His Majesty's 76th Birthday Celebration. Belait District was the second district to welcome His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam for the ceremony, which took place yesterday morning at Padang Bandaran, Kuala Belait.

Students lined up along the way to Padang Bandaran to welcome His Majesty's arrival.

Upon arriving, His Majesty was welcomed by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Minister of Home Affairs as the Chairman of the National Committee for the 76th Royal Birthday Celebration.

Also present were His Majesty's sons and brothers:

- His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office;

- His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik;

- His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen;

- His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah;

- and His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah.

Over 500 participants were involved in the special performance which carried the theme 'Raja Untuk Rakyat dan Rakyat Untuk Raja'.

The climax of the special performance portrayed that the Monarch is always in the people's heart.

Prior to leaving for the Get-Together Ceremony with citizens and residents of Belait District, His Majesty mingled with the performance participants.
