BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN

Two Chinese men were charged in the Magistrate's Court yesterday with stealing an Indonesian woman's belongings in mid-flight from Jakarta to Bandar Seri Begawan.

Peng Jiuhui, 40, and Win Jun, 28, allegedly stole a bracelet, key, necklace, rings, earrings and 7 million Indonesian rupiah while on Royal Brunei Airlines flight BI736 at 3pm on Sept 25, 2016.

They were ordered remanded by Magistrate Dewi Norlelawati binti Haji Abdul Hamid to allow further police investigations into the case.

DPP Azmeena Mohiddin was given until October 4, 2016 to finalise the case and bring the defendants back to court.
