A local man who is currently serving a jail term whilst holding a long record of break-ins and thefts was yet again sentenced to jail and whipping yesterday.

Haji Maswadi bin Pungut @ Ismail yesterday pleaded guilty to four offences of housebreaking between March and August, 2016. He stole an expensive watch, a bag, cash, jewellery, a mobile phone, a camera and laptop.

Intermediate Court Judge Radin Safiee bin Radin Mas Basiuni ordered for the defendant's sentence to run right after he serves his current sentence for a similar offence he committed in October, November and December 2015 as well as January 2016.
