Zuki To Remain As Chief Secretary To Govt For Two More Years

Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali has been re-appointed as the Chief Secretary to the Government for another two years, says the Prime Minister’s Office.
His re-appointment as the country’s top civil servant was consented by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and will take effect from August 11 (Thursday) to August 10, 2024.
“The re-appointment is based on the interest of the country as his services as the Chief Secretary to the Government are still needed,” said the PMO in a statement on Thursday (Aug 11).
Mohd Zuki, who turns 60 on Thursday, took office on Jan 1, 2020, replacing Tan Sri Dr Ismail Bakar.
The Terengganu born, who has a Master's degree from Nanyang University, Singapore in business management has about 30 years of experience in the civil service.
Known for his vast experience, Mohd Zuki had previously served in the Finance, Education, Rural and Regional Development, Home as well as the Natural Resources and Environment ministries.
He was also attached to Istana Negara, the Prime Minister’s Department, secretary-general at the Defence Ministry and was the Sarawak Federal Secretary.
