SERASA, BRUNEI-MUARA
Light and shifty breeze poses a challenge for participants competing in the Royal Brunei Yacht Club (RBYC) Brunei Laser Open Championship at Serasa Clubhouse.
A total of 17 sailors participated during the first day of the race, including brothers Lim Jenn Kiat and Lim Jenn Hau, who represented Brunei in 28th Southeast Asian (SEA) Gaines sailing competition last year.
Other participants came from Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sailing Club, Kuala Belait Boat Club, Piasau Boat Club Miri, and Royal Varuna Club Thailand.
The first day saw unpredictable wind conditions, forcing some sailors to make tricky manoeuvres on the course. The race continues again today, followed by a prize presentation.
