​The Language and Literature Bureau through the Research, Documentation and Recognition Division is organising a Culture Research Methodology Workshop in conjunction with the Language Month 2022 Celebration. The 5-day workshop which is being held until 6th of October takes place at Balai Sarmayuda of the Language and Literature Bureau in Berakas and several research locations in every district.

Yesterday morning, the workshop continued at Balai Kampung Menengah Community Hall in Temburong District participated by forty people comprising officers and staff from departments under the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports as well as lecturers and students from Universiti Brunei Darussalam. The workshop is conducted to improve skills and specific research techniques in the field of culture to be more quality, comprehensive and impactful.

The workshop is facilitated by Dr. Haji Hashim bin Haji Abdul Hamid, Cultural Elite. The workshop among others includes Introduction and Methodology of Culture Research, Preparation of a brief proposal paper by the group of participants, Practical field study and transcription techniques and taking the necessary materials.
