To uphold the pantun or quartrain as a cultural heritage and to test language skills, yesterday morning, Universiti Brunei Darussalam, the Malaysian High Commission and the Language and Literature Bureau held the final of the Brunei Darussalam Inter-Higher Education Institutions Pantun Competition. The competition took place at the Pro Chancellor Art Centre, UBD.

 

On hand to present prizes was His Excellency Dato' Raja Reza bin Raja Zaib Shah, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Brunei  Darussalam. First place went to Universiti Brunei Darussalam 'B'. While second place went to Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, UNISSA, and Universiti Brunei Darussalam 'A' took third place. Four teams participated in the competition. Also held was a Berdudun Sketch performance.
