The Ministry of Finance (MoF) commemorated the new Islamic year of 1438 Hijrah with a religious ceremony held at its building in Commonwealth Drive yesterday, in the presence of Dato Paduka Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, the Acting Minister of Finance.

During the ceremony, also attended by senior officials from the MoF, a special talk on 'Lessons in championing and defending the faith' was delivered by invited speaker from the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA), Ustaz Awang Mohd Yusof bin Haji Abdul Majid.

Organised by the Employees Trust Fund (TAP) this year, the annual event is part of MoF's drive to strengthen ties amongst its staff in the ministry and its departments.
