The Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) through its Islamic Religious Body yesterday organised a new Islamic year Hijrah 1438 celebration and `Doa Kesyukuran' to celebrate the safe return of Haj pilgrims from the Royal Brunei Police Force.
Held at the Police Headquarters Surau in Gadong, the event saw Commissioner of Police Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohd Jammy bin Haji Muhd Shah Al-Islam as guest of honour, while other guests included the Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police Mohammad Irwan bin Haji Hambali, Acting Deputy Commissioner of Police and other personnel of the RBPF.
The event opened with mass Sunnat Hajat prayer, and was followed by a special religious talk delivered by Ustaz Abdul Rahman bin Ajak, an invited speaker from the Islamic Da'wah Centre.
The event continued with a Dikir Marhaban and Doa Kesyukuran, before concluding with mass Asar prayer.
The religious function, an annual activity of the Islamic Religious Body of the RBPF, aimed to enliven the Gadong Police Headquarters Surau and foster closer relations among members of the force.
