To mark the 28th convocation of Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) this year, UBD held a Khatam Al-Quran and thanksgiving prayer yesterday at the university's mosque.

Present as the chief guest was Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman, Minister of Education.

Also in attendance were principal officers and families of the graduates. The graduates were also presented with certificates and souvenirs.

The religious event is an annual  gathering held to celebrate the UBD graduates who have completed their studies.

The ceremony represents UBD's initiatives to encourage and enrich the students' faith, intellect and culture and build UBD as the national university of a Zikir Nation.

The initiative also aims to produce skilled graduates who support and embrace the university's vision 'Towards Human Excellence'.
