As part of efforts to ensure the safety of motorists, some 40 residents from Kg Tanjong Nangka organised community work by cutting down old tree branches and twigs at KM17.5, Jalan Tutong, Kg Tanjong Nangka.
According to the residents, the broken branches and twigs that fall on the road may hit motorists and other road users, causing unwanted incidents to occur, especially during bad weather or heavy rain.
The community work was led by Haji Lamat bin Nawang, the Village Head of Kg Tanjong Nangka.
Also present was Dato Paduka Haji Yunos bin Md Noh in his capacity as an advisor for the three-hour project.
The work also involved other agencies, including the Royal Brunei Police Force to control traffic flow and ensure the smooth running of the project.
