The Fire and Rescue Department's Operation 'A' Branch Headquarters and Mentiri Fire Station held a religious lecture in conjunction with the new Islamic year of Hijrah 1438 at the station's Surau recently.

The event was attended by Operation 'A Commanding Officer, Senior Superintendent of Fire and Rescue Mohd Yudieswandy bin Banar.

Also present were Deputy Commanding Officer of Operation A, Superintendent of Fire and Rescue Pengiran Azizul Rahman bin Pengiran Haji Yusop; station commanders; officers, station personnel and staff from Mentiri Fire Station, Beribi Fire Station, Bandar Seri Begawan (BSB) Fire Station and Muara Fire Station.

In his lecture, Hilman bin Haji Salam touched on the event of Hijrah of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and benefits of reading the Al-Quran.
