Is it possible to cure cancer by drinking urine? Dr. Joseph Eldor, MD, from the Jerusalem-based Theoretical Medicine Institute published a study that would seem to support the idea.

Urine contains many of the same antigens found in cancer cells, which when consumed orally may help to bolster the body’s natural immune action against cancer tumors.

According to Eldor, urine provides the intestinal lymphatic system with various tumor antigens against which antibodies can be produced. These antibodies then enter the bloodstream, he says, and attack both tumors and cancer cells.

Eldor’s paper challenges the “germ theory” of disease as it is generally understood. Instead of fighting off invading and infecting microorganisms and parasites as is widely believed, the immune system, he suggests, actually fights the “enemy within.”

“Microbes were known long before the germ theory of disease was invented,” Eldor writes. “It was not the discovery of germs that revolutionized medicine, but the invention of a philosophy of medical explanation that permitted germs to be causative agents of disease.”

How does this relate to urotherapy? In short, the antigens found in urine better equip the immune system to fight off the cancer cells that exist in every human body, but that only become a problem in those who lack robust immunity.

“Most human cancers appear to lack truly tumor-specific antigens,” Eldor writes. “The same neoplastic cell can express several different tumor antigens. For example, relatively cross-reacting tumor-specific transplantation antigens have been demonstrated in many chemically induced tumors.”

The non-specific nature of these antigens makes urotherapy even more promising as a remedy for all kinds of cancer because it has the potential to optimize the body’s internal terrain – the terrain theory of disease standing in contrast to germ theory.

“I am convinced that during development and growth malignant cells arise extensively frequently but that in the majority of people they remain latent due to the protective action of the host,” said Nobel Prize-winning Germany physician and scientist Paul Ehrlich back in 1909.

“I am also convinced that this natural immunity is not due to the presence of antimicrobial bodies but is determined purely by cellular factors. These may be weakened in the older age groups in which cancer is more prevalent.”

Urotherapy treats a whole lot more than just cancer

Eldor’s paper goes into great length detailing how oral administration of urine-derived antigens functions as immunotherapy to boost a struggling immune system. If you are interested in perusing those details further, you will find them at the website of the Institute of Integrative Chi Kung.

It turns out that urotherapy can also be done via injection, which is how it was practiced by some physicians back in the early 1900s. These subcutaneous urine injections helped patients to overcome urinary infections, endocrine issues, migraines, asthma, eczema, psoriasis, and many other conditions.

Even pets can benefit from urotherapy, as was demonstrated back in 1938 when an extract of urine taken from a pregnant woman – urine from non-pregnant women also works, it was later discovered – was used prophylactically and therapeutically to treat ulcers in dogs.

“Urotherapy is suggested as a new kind of immunotherapy for cancer patients,” Eldor concludes.

“Unlike the clonal immunotherapy the urine of the cancer patients contain the many tumor antigens which constitute the tumor. Oral auto-urotherapy will provide the intestinal lymphatic system the tumor antigens against which they may produce antibodies due to non-self recognition. These antibodies may be transpierced through the blood stream and attack the tumor and its cells.”
