The prosecution yesterday charged a 30year-old local man with groping a 30-year-old local lady jogger, but no plea was taken by the Bandar Magistrate's Court.

The defendant was ordered remanded for the prosecution to do an identification parade on the defendant, by the victim and a witness.

Dini bin Masir allegedly groped the buttocks and breast of the victim whilst she was jogging at a bus stop fronting the Bolkiah Camp at Jalan Perdana Menteri at 5.45pm on October 10, 2016. It was learnt that they are strangers.

Magistrate Hajah Ervy Sufitriana binti Haji Abdul Rahman is likely to take the defendant's plea tomorrow.

DPP Sharon Yeo's charge carries a penalty of five years' maximum jail with whipping.
