After the Four-Eye Meeting, His Majesty and Yang Amat Berhormat proceeded to Baitul Mesyuarah to witness the Signing Ceremony for the Memorandum of Understanding between the Brunei Investment Agency and the Malaysian Investment Development Authority.

Signing on behalf of the Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam was Awang Haji Sofian bin Mohammad Jani, Acting Managing Director of the Brunei Investment Agency, while Malaysia was represented by Yang Berbahagia Datuk Wira Arham Rahman, Chief Executive Officer of the Malaysian Investment Development Authority. The MoU, among other things, provides an initial understanding for both parties to hold negotiations towards the implementation and preparation of further agreements on bilateral investment that can be carried out by certain parties between Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia.
