​His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam received in audience Yang Berhormat Dato' Seri Utama Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hasan, the Minister of Defence of Malaysia.

Accompanying the Minister of Defence of Malaysia were Yang Berbahagia General Dato Paduka Seri Tan Sri Dato' Sri Haji Affendi bin Buang, Chief of Defence Force, Malaysia Armed Forces; His Excellency Raja Dato' Reza bin Raja Zaib Shah, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Brunei Darussalam; and Yang Berusaha Ahmad Nadzri bin Mohd Hassan, Deputy Secretary General for Policy at the Ministry of Defence of Malaysia.  Bilateral defence relations between Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia have strengthened with cooperation and engagements in various fields such as defence agreements, professional exchanges at all levels, trainings and exercises throughout all major services, Land, Navy and Air from both Armed Forces. The audience ceremony took place at Istana Nurul Iman, yesterday afternoon.

His Majesty received in audience Yang Berhormat Dato' Seri Utama Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hasan. Yang Berhormat Dato' Seri Utama Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hasan and delegation were in the country for a one-day official visit.  Also present were Retired Brigedier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Abdul Razak bin Haji Abd Kadir, Deputy Minister of Defence and Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bolhassan, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
