​Various developments and progress of Brunei Darussalam from a number of aspects can be seen through the provision of public infrastructure that has been and are currently being implemented. The provision proves the government's commitment towards realising one of the goals of Wawasan Brunei 2035, namely a high quality of life on par with other developed countries.

By 2035, the Home Ownership Rate target through the National Housing Scheme is at 85 per cent. So far, over 30 thousand 200 houses under the scheme have been handed over to successful applicants from the Ministry of Development. Meanwhile, almost two thousand houses are still under construction.

The land infrastructure in the country has also been improved. In 2022, the road were extended by more than three thousand kilometres, followed by the provision of other infrastructures such as the construction of flyovers in some areas. Apart from being a landmark of the country's modernisation, the construction of the Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Bridge and the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha Bridge allow users to travel more easily and increased the economic growth.

The provision of a quality public infrastructure which is actively being implemented by the government certainly helps the country in achieving a high quality standard of living. Thus, citizens and residents of Brunei Darussalam need to play thir role in ensuring that the public infrastructure is used appropriately.
