Muslims in Brunei Darussalam welcome the holy month of Ramadhan yesterday. The Tadarus Al-Quran opening ceremonies were held last night nationwide.

At Jame' 'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah in Kampung Kiarong, the ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs. The ceremony followed by Tadabbur Al-Quran. It was conducted by the Ministry of Religious Affairs through Mosque Affairs Department in collaboration with Jame' 'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Takmir Committee, Kampong Kiarong and Radio Television Brunei.
