A Bangladeshi man was charged by the Bandar Seri Begawan Magistrate's Court for an offence of possessing 10 cartons of cigarettes.

35-year old, Nobi Hassan was issued $10,000 fine or 10 months imprisonment in default. All items were seized and handed over to the government to be destroyed. One thousand five hundred dollars in cash from the sale of cigarettes was also confiscated and handed over to the government for further action. The offender was arrested by the Law Enforcement Division, Royal Customs and Excise Department of Brunei Muara branch on the 6th of March in Kampung Kiarong.
