The Exposure Programme for Youths Who Have the Potential to Venture into the High-Tech Agricultural Field can help youths to fully focus on the field of agriculture as it can be turned into a profitable business. The system's use can increase agricultural output if carried out diligently. The Launching ceremony of the 8th Exposure Programme for Youths Who Have the Potential to Venture into the High-Tech Agricultural Field was held yesterday morning.

Awang Mat Rusli bin Haji Abu Bakar, Acting Head of the Plant Industry Division said that the programme is one of the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism's initiatives to support the Strategic Plan of the Department of Agriculture and Agri-Food 2021/2030 towards increasing the involvement of youth in the agricultural sector. He also said that the youths will be exposed to the procedures in terms of marketing, which are the systems in post-harvest and how to distribute their farm production to the market. Apart from that, they will be given exposure on ways to obtain finance or capital from agencies outside the department such as from DARE and bank agencies.

Over 37 youths joined the programme. Among those present was Awang Abuzar bin Haji Mohd Tahir, Acting Director of Agriculture and Agri-food. Since it was introduced in 2018, 116 youths have joined the programme. From the total, 73 people are offered sites under the Department of Agriculture and Agri-food. Interested youths can contact the Administration and Human Resource Management Unit.
