JAKARTA

Former two-star police general Ferdy Sambo, his wife Putri Chandrawati and their former driver Kuat Makruf have filed cassation appeals to the Supreme Court, in hopes of lessening their sentences for the roles they played in the murder of Ferdy’s former aide-de-camp Brig. Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat.

South Jakarta District Court spokesperson Djumyanto said that Ferdy had filed a cassation appeal on May 12, while Putri and Kuat filed on May 9 and 15, respectively.

“The cassation appeals were filed by each lawyer to the criminal registry office at the South Jakarta District Court,” Djumyanto said on Wednesday, adding that the three had filed  their memorandum of appeal before 14 days, in accordance with the law.
