Students from 5 Secondary Schools Attended 'Nadwah Kemurnian Rohani'

Some 26 female students from five secondary schools are attending the four-day, three-night Nadwah Kemurnian Rohani course organised by the Da'wah Dissemination Unit of the Islamic Da'wah Centre (PDI), which commenced yesterday at the Darul Huda Building's Al-Mau'izah Lecture Room.
The participating students comprise five from Pengiran Isteri Hajjah Mariam Secondary School (SMPIHM), five from Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Secondary School Mentiri (SMPDSM), five from Sufri Bolkiah Secondary School Tutong, five from Anthony Abell College Seria, another five from Masin Secondary School and one from Berakas Secondary School (SMB).
All students were selected by the Counselling and Career Guidance Unit, Department of Schools, Ministry of Education (MoE).
Topics such as Aqidah, social ills, cybercrime, Thaharah (self-purification), 'recall' session, mass prayers, Tausyeh and motivational talks among many others as well as some interesting activities will be conducted throughout the fou-day programme.
The course facilitators will include officers from the Islamic Da'wah Centre - Drs Haji Ismuhadi bin Haji Abdullah, Awang Haji Badaruddin bin Haji Basar, Dayangku Norhayati binti Pengiran Haji Kasharan and Dayang Amal Hayati binti Haji Amit to name a few.
Speakers from the Counselling and Career Guidance Unit of the Department of Schools, the Criminal Justice Division of the Attorney General's Chambers (AGC) and Religious Enforcement Unit of the Department of Syariah Affairs at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) have also been invited.
Some of the course's objectives are to instil love of religion, leader, nation and the community, while creating awareness amongst participants on the importance of quality education towards becoming success in facing challenges.
The course also aims to increase awareness on religious rites and obligations, while making Islam a way of life. It also seeks to raise awareness on the responsibilities of parents, teachers and community members based on Islamic teachings.
