(KPL) Miss Laos 2023 application has been announced for candidates nationwide and the deadline for that is mid-October, 2023, a press conference was told on Wednesday.

The press conference was held in Vientiane in the presence of Mr Phatthanong Sila, Deputy Director for Youth Activities, Lao Youth Union, Mr Khompanya Phengvinaiya, President of the Miss Laos Project, representatives of the Lao Women Union, the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism,celebrities, main sponsors and the media.

“This year Miss Laos contest is designed to promote dressing culture and traditions of young women so that these traditions can be with the Lao people. The contest also allows Lao women to show their self esteem and ability,” said Mr Khompanya Phengvinaiya.

Interested women can submit their applications online or personally at the registration centres of Miss Laos organising committee.

"To celebrate its 15th anniversary, Miss Laos project is organizing new activities to promote Lao economy, Lao products and the use of Lao national currency kip," said Mr Khompanya Phengvinaiya.

“Miss Laos 2023 must be Lao citizens, female, high 165 cm or taller, the ages between 18-26 years, positive personality, good manners, beauty and single / having never been married / having never had any child or been pregnant before as well as no criminal record,”said Director of Miss Laos Project, Mr Saysananorlasing Sisan.
