Johor crown prince Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim was gunning for laughs - literally - in a parody video on the Johor Southern Tigers Facebook page.

The video shows men in red shirts performing a public demonstration of silat moves that the Red Shirt movement is notorious for at its protests.

A man is shown shouting and posturing in the middle of a semi-circle before someone whips him with two rotan.

Another man advances with what appears to be a clay brick, only to smash it on the back of his own hand.

The camera then pans to the Tunku Mahkota Johor in blue attire and sunglasses, as he surveys the scene with apparent distaste.

Then, he raises his right arm and fires several shots from a handgun before turning to the camera, shrugging his shoulders and walking off.

However, the caption accompanying the post preaches peace, and states that Tunku Ismail is not taking the side of either the red or the yellow shirts.

“I am on the side of the Bangsa Johor where it symbolises unity, as unity is the solution for this nation moving forward, not violence and hatred.

“Guns don't kill people, people kill people. Violence and hatred are not going to make this nation a better place. Stay positive. Lots of love,” he says.
