His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam left Vientiane on 4th October afternoon, after concluding a State Visit to the Lao People's Democratic Republic. Present at the Wattay International Airport, Vientiane to bid farewell was His Excellency Haji Roslan bin Haji Yacub, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brunei Darussalam to the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

Prior to departure, Doa Selamat was read by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Doctor Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti.

In attendance, His Excellency Saleumxay Kommasith, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs as Minister-in-Attendance; Her Excellency Khemmany Polsena, Head of the President's Office; His Excellency Athsphangthong Siphandone, Mayor of Vientiane Capital; and Her Excellency Sengdavanh Vongsay, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Laos to Brunei Darussalam.
