​'Munajat Senegara Dengan Taubat' or 'Nationwide Munajat With Repentance' is the theme of this year's Knowledge Convention. At the inauguration of the Knowledge Convention, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam launched a book, 'Majlis Ilmu: Mercu Tanda Intelektualisme Raja Kita - Suluh Negara.' The Knowledge Convention 2023 is organised in conjunction with His Majesty's 77th Birthday Celebration. The event takes place at the International Convention Centre in Berakas.

Upon arrival, His Majesty and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam were greeted by;

- Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohammad Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence;

- Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs;

- Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health;

- Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy;

- Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Doctor Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd. Salleh, Minister of Education;

- Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports as Co-Chairpersons of the Knowledge Convention 2023 Steering Committee.

- and Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Minister of Home Affairs as Chairman of the National Committee for His Majesty's 77th birthday celebration, and wives of the Advisor and Chairpersons of the Knowledge Convention 2023 Steering Committee. Also present were members of the Royal Family.

The reading of Surah Al-Anbiya verse 87 to 90 was presented by Awang Haji Md Zul-Hafiz bin Awang Tengah, Education Officer. Meanwhile, its interpretation was presented by Awang Muhamad Adi Adham bin Ramlan, Education Officer.

Doa Selamat was read by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Doktor Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, State Mufti.

In the welcoming remarks, the Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence underlined the daily practices of endearing oneself to Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala in the country.

His Majesty then launched the 'Majlis Ilmu: Mercu tanda Intelektualisme Raja Kita - Suluh Negara' book, and inaugurated the Knowledge Convention 2023.

Repenting immediately and without delay was among the content of a Special Talk titled 'Munajat Senegara Dengan Taubat' by the State Mufti.
