'Operasi Bersepadu Sakat'

The 'OPERASI BERSEPADU SAKAT' is a continuous effort by law enforcement agencies in the country in combating activities that violate enforced regulations. The operation targeted several locations in Mukim Kianggeh and Mukim Gadong.

 

During the 'Operasi Bersepadu 169/2023', 10 foreign nationals were arrested for failing to show valid travel documents. While another person is believed to be over staying in the country. Seven individuals were arrested for an offence under the Excise Order 2006 which is possession of prohibited goods and alcoholic drinks. Meanwhile, during the operation in the second location, eleven foreigners were arrested. Two of them were detained for failing to show valid travel documents. One case of close proximity was found under the Syariah Criminal Penal Code Order, 2013. Three individuals were arrested under suspicion of drug abuse activities and four individuals were arrested for possessing customs contraband.

 

During the 'Operation Sakat' 170/2023 at two separate locations in Mukim Gadong, a foreign male was arrested for working using a visit pass. Meanwhile, five foreign nationals were detained for further investigation into the verification of passports as well as the guarantee of visit passes and related documents. While another 2 were arrested, believed to be working not with the original employer and working not according to the job listed stated in the passport.
