​His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab Rahaman, attended a ceremony to celebrate His Royal Highness' 50th Birthday, hosted by the Prime Minister's Office. The ceremony took place at the Prime Minister's Office, 17th February morning.

Also in attendance were His Royal Highness' brother, His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Raabi'atul 'Adawiyyah binti Pengiran Haji Bolkiah. Also present were Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Amal Umi Kalthum Al-Islam binti Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Indera Setia Diraja Sahibul Karib Pengiran Anak Haji Idris bin Pengiran Maharaja Lela Pengiran Muda Abdul Kahar, the Chief of Adat Istiadat Negara.

Upon arrival, His Royal Highness was greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Bakti Di-Raja Dato Laila Utama Haji Awang Isa bin Pehin Datu Perdana Manteri Dato Laila Utama Haji Awang Ibrahim, Special Adviser to His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Minister at the Prime Minister's Office; Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd. Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence; and Datin; and Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy and  Datin; and Deputy Ministers at the Prime Minister's Office and their respective spouses.

At the Pesambah Gallery, His Royal Highness cut the birthday cake and received a greeting card from the Prime Minister's Office. Also presenting greeting cards to His Royal Highness were His Majesty the Sultan's Flight; Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Ministry of Home Affairs; Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications; Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports; Ministry of Education; Universiti Brunei Darussalam; Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University; Universiti Teknologi Brunei, Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah College and Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association.

Also present were Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Paduka Haji Awang Ahmad bin Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Bakti Di-Raja Dato Laila Utama Haji Awang Isa, Attorney General and Datin; and Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar, Chief Syar'ie Judge.

His Royal Highness then proceeded for a luncheon at the Banquet Hall. Doa Kesyukuran was recited by Dato Seri Setia Dr. Haji Japar in Haji Mat Dain @ Maidin, Deputy State Mufti.

In conjunction with the 50th Birthday of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, the Prime Minister's Office seeks the blessing of Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala in granting His Royal Highness and the Royal Family good health, longevity and well-being.
