Khatam Al-Quran Ceremony

​His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office attends the 40 Times Khatam Al-Quran Ceremony in conjunction with Brunei Darussalam's 40th National Day Celebration. The ceremony was held at Jame' 'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah, Kampung Kiarong. Over one thousand 6 hundred people participated in the the 40 Times Khatam Al-Quran Ceremony which was held simultaneously nationwide, 26th February morning. Also in attendance were His Royal Highness' brothers, His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik; and His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen.

 

Upon arrival, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince was greeted by

 

Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs.

 

Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence.

 

Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy and Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports as well as other members of the celebration's Executive Committee.

 

The recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah was led by Yang Dimuliakan Begawan Pehin Khatib Dato Paduka Awang Haji Mustafa bin Haji Murat.

 

The mass reading of Khatam Al-Quran was led by Awang Abdul Hadi Muaiyyad bin Haji Azrol, student from Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Tahfiz Al-Quran Institute.

 

The reading of Takhtim Al-Quran was led by Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, UNISSA undergraduates.

 

Doa Khatam was read by Awang Muhammad Darul Irsyad bin Mohammed Jeffery, student of Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Tahfiz Al-Quran Institute.

 

The ceremony was enlivened with the Dikir Marhaban by UNISSA undergraduates.

 

Doa Peliharakan Sultan and Negara Brunei Darussalam was read by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar.
