Two local companies were fined after its representatives pleaded guilty in the Magistrate's Court last Thursday to charges of failing to pay income tax.

Syarikat Amtas Sdn Bhd received a total fine of $5,000 for failing to furnish a return of income to the Collector of Income Tax for the years 2010, 2011, 2012, GUM aria 2U14.

Amalgamated Electronics Sdn Bhd was fined $4,000 for failing to furnish returns for 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014.
Magistrate Dewi Norlelawati binti Haji Abdul Hamid presided over the case. DPP Amiriah Ali represented the Public Prosecutor.
