The departure of Philippine Airlines (PAL) flight PR-318 to Hong Kong at the Ninoy Aquino International Aiport (NAIA) terminal 1, was delayed for  nearly three hours on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, after a wing of the Airbus 330-300 hit the wing of a parked China Airlines plane.

The China Airlines CI-701 flight was set to leave for Taiwan at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday.

Based on information from the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), PAL had to change planes to continue the flight to Hong Kong. The plane has just arrived in Manila from a flight from Melbourne, Australia.
