The Darussalam Motorcycle Association (PEMODA) who recently visited the Prisons Department in Jerudong as part of its community outreach programme.

PEMODA Deputy President Mohamad Shah'rin bin Shahbuddi, who led the 27 PEMODA members, explained that the visit was also part of PEMODA's ongoing development programme for its members.

He said it is important for PEMODA members to learn about Brunei's law to impress upon them the value of being a law abiding citizen and the punishment that awaits those who commit criminal acts.

The visitors were briefed by Prisons Department's Public Relation Officer Haji Shahrin Nizar bin Haji Nohl on the department's history, roles and responsibilities as well as the punishment for breaking the law.
