The well-established bilateral relationship between Brunei Darussalam's Prime Minister's Office and Ministry of Home Affairs, and the Republic of Singapore's Ministry of Home Affairs, provided the opportunity for both countries to learn from one another especially in the areas of border control, firefighting, rescue management and others.

The lifelong learning and knowledge sharing are for the betterment of both countries towards leading them prosperity and ensuring a safe and secure community for all.

The sharing of knowledge between Brunei and Singapore was lauded by Haji Idris bin Haji Ali, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs, in his remark as the guest of honour at the 2nd Brunei Darussalam and Singapore Joint Training Annual Exchange Programme yesterday.

The opening ceremony, which was held at the sixth floor of the Ministry of Home Affairs, started off with the introduction of participants to the guest of honour. A total of 17 participants are taking part in the Joint Training Annual Exchange programme of whom nine are from Singapore's Ministry of Home Affairs and eight are from Brunei's Prime Minister's Office and the Ministry of Home Affairs.

In his speech, Haji Idris highlighted, "The bilateral cooperationbetween Brunei Darussalam's Prime Minister's Office and the Ministry of Home Affairs, and the Republic of Singapore's Ministry of Home Affairs is quite new but the relationship has long existed with regular interaction at both ministerial and departmental levels."

"Through this relationship, it gave a huge opportunity for both countries to learn from one another," he added.
