The Tutong District Da'wah Unit Office, Islamic Da'wah Centre in collaboration with Syarikat Sha-Zan Marine Sendirian Berhad held the 'Majlis Songdai Beraya Bersama Muallaf' or Songdai Beraya with New Converts Ceremony. It took place on 4th May morning, at Kampung Tanjong Panjang in Tutong District.

Leading the delegation was a Member of the Legislative Council. Also present was Awang Haji Abdul Rajid bin Haji Mohd Salleh, Director of the Islamic Da'wah Centre. The ceremony coincided with a donation presentation of basic necessities to two new convert families and handing over of Replica Qiblat Direction Markers. 'Majlis Songdai Beraya Bersama Muallaf' means 'Lakastah Beraya Bersama Muallaf' or let's celebrate raya with new converts which is a get-together event with new converts by visiting the houses of new converts to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
