​The 2nd Community Leaders Programme is an effort to strengthen the capacity of Community Leaders in disaster risk reduction towards building a disaster prepared society. Organised by the National Disaster Management Centre, Ministry of Home Affairs, the two-day programme opened on 15th May morning, at the Official Residence of the Belait District Officer.

 

21 participants comprising Mukim Penghulu and Village Heads from Belait District took part in the programme. Among those participating were Members of the Legislative Council. Throughout the programme, the participants had the opportunity to attend the knowledge Exchange Workshops and Dialogue Sessions, as well as briefings on the functions and roles of stakeholders in disaster management.
