His Majesty Sultan  Haji  Hassanal  Bolkiah  Mu'izzaddin  Waddaulah  ibni  Al- Marhum Sultan  Haji Omar 'Ali  Saifuddien  Sa'adul  Khairi  Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di- Pertuan of Brunei  Darussalam on 25th May morning, made an unscheduled visit to the Ministry of Health at Commonwealth Drive.

During the visit, His Majesty in a titah reminds of several matters related to the country's health system that still needs improvement and upgrading. Among them is a trustworthy and honest attitude in terms of management, frequently heard complaints from the public on medical and healthcare services, rough behaviour and impoliteness to patients as well as the culture of issuing poison-pen letters as a way to channel complaints.

His Majesty began the titah by underscoring that it is the aspiration of the Monarch and Government to continue giving good and free medical and healthcare services to the citizens and residents in the country. His Majesty in the titah says that even though the country is currently facing a challenging economic situation but the preservation of life according to the principles of Maqasid Syariah will remain a priority
